Ящер известен по примерно дюжине экземпляров, у которых отдельные части тела принадлежат целофизоидам, неопределенным тероподам, птерозаврам, дрепанозаврам и вообще непонятным рептилиям.
Первоначально голотип был идентифицирован как детеныш целофиса еще в середине 80-х, чуть позже некоторые авторы отнесли его в качестве самой старой птицы, впрочем это почти тогда же и отвергли, тем же Остромом (это еще до его описания!), Пол вообще отнес его к герреразаврам. После описания несколько авторов, например, Мартин и Курочкин, согласились, что это могла быть птица, например промеж. звено между авимимом и Ornithoraces или энантиорнитиновым типом орниторацин, а также что это базальный орнитурин.
Тем не менее. большинство авторитетных авторов отвергало подобную гипотезу, так как останки включали абсолютно нептичьи, а целюрозавровые части черепа, шейные позвонки мегаланкозаврид, плечевые кости лепидозавроморф, задние лапы целофизоидов и ступни примитивных архозавров.
Вообщем куча всего, что бывает довольно часто в богатых захоронениях.
Как найдут сочлененный скелет - тогда и можно будет о чем-то говорить.
